Minister responsible for Sport and Youth
Empowerment, Honourable Glenn Phillip has appealed to the public
to openly give support to the Special Olympics movement in St.
Kitts and Nevis. During a televised
address to mark the start of a number of activities running from
November 24 to 30, Minister Phillip highlighted the impact that
Special Olympics has on the population.

congratulates Nevisian Kieran Powell on joining elite band
Charlestown, Nevis (Friday, November 16, 2012)--Nevis
and West Indies opening batsman Kieran Powell on Friday (Nov.
16) joined an elite band of West Indian cricketers to score a
century in both innings of a single test match. Powell completed
the feat with an innings of 110 on the fourth day of the opening
test against Bangladesh at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in
Mirpur, Bangladesh, following his 117 in the first innings, to
join the illustrious company of George Headley, Everton Weekes,
Clyde Walcott, Sir Gary Sobers,

Parry congratulates Nevisian Cricketer Kieran Powell on second
test hundred Charlestown, Nevis (Wednesday, November 14,
2012)-- Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Joseph
Parry, himself a former president of the Nevis Cricket
Association (NCA), has applauded the fine work of 22-year-old
Nevisian cricketer, Mr. Kieran Powell, who made his second test
hundred on the opening day (Tues, Nov. 13) of the first Test
against Bangladesh at Mirpur, Bangladesh.
The tall, elegant left-hander struck 117 (18 fours, 1
six) to set the tone for West Indies at the Shere-Bangla

St.Kitts-Nevis National Basketball left the federation today ,
Thursday November 8th for Domnica to participate in the
2nd Annual Sugar Creole Basketball Festival . The weekend
festival was first organised last year by members of the
Dominica Amatuer Basketball Association and

that Sunday 14th event was postponed to this Sunday 21st October
2012 as a result of the inclement weather experienced by
Tropical Storm Raphael. The route remains the same with the

Creole Basketball Festival Postponed.......SKABA Super 8
continues this weekend
Just 2 days after finalizing and announcing the new
St.Kitts-Nevis National Team and the travelling contingent for
the 2nd Annual Sugar Creole Basketball Festival in Dominica the
SKABA has been informed that the Basketball weekend tournament
has been postponed. The Domnica Amateur Basketball Association
through President Mickey Joseph indicated to the local
association that Due to rain and inclement weather they have
been forced to postpone the tournament until further notice. The
National Team has therefore had to suspend travel
