Serenade of the Seas starts parade of ships for November

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 1ST 2011 – The parade of cruise ships for the month of November started Tuesday with the arrival of the 2,540-passenger capacity Serenade of the Seas. Some 84,000 cruise passengers are expected this month.


The Royal Caribbean International Radiance Class ship docked at Port Zante with 2,253 passengers and a crew of 856 upon its arrival from St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands. It will later sail for Aruba.


Thirty-eight (38) cruise ship calls are scheduled for St. Kitts and three to Nevis in November.


Some five ships are expected this week with an estimated 11,500 passengers.


Two ships, the 400-passenger capacity, Silver Whisper and the 3,100-passenger capacity Emerald of the Seas visit on Wednesday; the 2,500-passenger capacity Jewel of the Seas makes its inaugural call on Thursday and the 3,050 passenger capacity Carnival Victory docks on Friday.


Some 11 cruise ships are scheduled visit St. Kitts next week and one visit is booked for Nevis with an estimated 25,654 passengers.


An estimated 625,000 passengers are expected between October 2011 and September 2012.
